Daily routines are followed with the toddlers. Activities will be provided for development of language, gross motor, fine motor, and social/personal and self-help skills. They learn to play and share with others and they experiment with toys chosen for their manipulative and creative value. Units are seasonal and a new color and shape are introduced each month.

Twos

The Twos program is a semi-structured program that includes arts and crafts, outdoor play, music, sharing, and language. The children are encouraged to be themselves through these activities. Socialization skills will be refined to help them become more cooperative in groups. Center activities include math, science, music, dramatic play, reading, blocks, art and manipulatives. Units will be seasonal and a new color and shape are introduced each month.

Preschool

Preschool for Threes, Fours, and Fives offers structured and unstructured activities to provide opportunities for children to make their own decisions about their day as well as participating in teacher directed activities. Center-based classrooms provide activities that include math, science, music, dramatic play, reading, blocks, art and manipulatives. Monthly subjects of study are seasonal and instructional. Developmentally appropriate practices are used to teach and instruct. Children learn the best through play and experimentation.

Both of our classes will be using the State of Tennessee standards TN-ELDS for the guidelines leading to kindergarten readiness.  We will have 2 classes.
